can anyone tell me what application it is for the mechanical fuel pump that is "bolted" together not crimped,,, I've looked thru tons of apps on line they all are the crimped style with the bent pipe hookups instead of fittings,,I've looked at my bolted together one,, no names or part numbers,,,,I found v-8 ones like it,, could I take it apart and swap the diaphrams into my housing,,,?

If it is for a 235/261, the number is 4149. The brand on mine was Airtex. You can buy it at O'Reilly's for under $30.

I have several fuel pumps for the 292 that are "bolted" together. It is my thought that these are early production fuel pumps. That is, it is easier (cheaper) to, swage, crimp, or press something together than it is to machine it fasten together with screws, and bolts. I believe kits are still available to rebuild the pumps that are "bolted". I know that The Filling Station had them. Blame it on the bean counters.
