250 six with T-5 trans complete and currently running in my '52 Chev. The 250 has a lump port head, TWR 403P pistons, steel timing gears, heavy duty oil pump, HEI distributor, Offy intake with 500cfm Edelbrock carb, and Offy top and side covers, etc. The T-5 is from an '88 Camaro, is world class, and has an S-10 tail shaft and a B&M short throw shifter and is set up for a mechanical speedo. I have decided to go with a Vortec 4200 and so someone will get the benefit of this complete setup from water pump to tail shaft. $3600.00

Drove it to the convention in Carson City but never did a close check on the milage. Figure it to be 20 or 21 mpg. Ran well.

I'd be interested in the trans, but I worry about shipping costs to Texas.

Would like to sell the set up as a package if I can, as I have a small garage to work in and little room to store stuff. The motor was professionally rebuilt in 2009 with new pistons, rings and bearings. I feel it is a good value but I will look at offers.

I have lowered the price on the motor and transmission and will sell them seperately. 1,200 for the motor and 1,000 for the T-5.

"World Class" is a designation for a later model T-5 with better bearings etc.

Al, Any idea what shipping to Forth Worth would cost?
regards, Leon Leon, You can go to ups.com and enter the zips and the weight and dimensions and calculate the fee. I sold one and shipped to Atlanta 3 years ago and it was like $80. Al, is this T5 with the GM bellhousing pattern? Some of the Camaros actually had a Ford bolt pattern.

Is the engine still for sale? If yes, can I see some pictures of the engine. I'd like to see pictures of both sides.
How many miles on the engine since it was rebuilt?

The T-5 has a GM bolt pattern. The engine is listed on Craigs list for 800.00. There is a picture with the ad. It was rebuilt in 2009 and has about 10,000 miles on it. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rds/pts/3441461497.htmlAl

yes, trans is still for sale. It's a good strong unit. It's never been raced. I bought it from a local transmission shop as a rebuilt unit. It's been in my Chevy for about five years and has performed well.

Dually, I've reduced the price three times and I really think that it is a good deal when you consider the S-10 tail shaft and the B&M shifter. 850 is as low as I'll go.

Would it be possible to get a pic of the shifter with the seat while it's still in the car.

Sorry, you are one day too late. The seats and carpeting are out as well as the shifter. I have bench seats in the Chevy. The S-10 tail shaft on the T-5 puts the shifter forward so that I did not have to modify the seat to accomodate the shifter. I'll check some old photos and I might have the picture you are looking for.

Al - Do you know if the GM bolt pattern on your WC trans is the same as the Non-WC trans(like an early S10), and do you have the build tag #, such as 1352-xxx (not casting #)?
Thanks

Hello, does your trans have a 26 spline in put shaft and a 2.95 gear set, if so I will buy.

It has a 26 spline input shaft. Pretty sure it has a 2.95 gear set as it is from an 88 Camaro and does not have the granny gear like the early S10 did. Are you close to the border for pickup? I am south of Vancouver B.C just north of the border.
