I have checked some posts and did some searching for a thinner head gasket for my 235.I know the compression increase would be incremental. Does anyone know where to get one? Has anyone run one if they exist on the market today? Did you have any issues with it? I am opting out of milling the head because of money and the fact this motor will only be in this car a couple of years. I plan on a 292 transplant to be able to tow a small trailer, kids, camping gear, etc I would greatly appreciate any input.

The only option for a thinner head gasket would be "custom", in which case milling the head will be cheaper.

I believe you can mill up to 100 thou off, beyond that you need to recess the pistons for valve clearance.

had good luck with flatout gasket company. they wil make any thickness you want out of copper. just don`t forget the spray on coppercote and silicon around the water passages.
