Does everyone pull their hair out when it comes to brackets? I'm awaiting my intake and exhaust manifolds from Summit. I have the bottom alt bracket, and the top bracket which is the adjuster for the alt. I need to search for the other pieces that actually mount the power steering pump to the upper bracket(sure right). I've done so much online searching, and it seems like they had a different version every couple of years. I did fine a source for a factory style a/c bracket that uses a Sanden compressor.

I've looked at those. They work, but aren't very aesthetic in appearance. My headers came today, and as I feared, my upper bracket which is the base for p/s pump, and adjuster for alt doesn't have enough clearance.

I think if I make a cut across the top, down the front stopping at a point above the adjustment slot, and go across the face. Slide that section to the right about 3/4 of an inch, then fill the gap with filler section, it should work.

GENUINE GM P/S BRACKETS FOR THE CHEVY 6'S ARE BIG BUCKS NOW. I USEUALLY GET 250.00 AND UP FOR A SET.

I've been calling Junkyards all over the place, either they don't have them, or their holding out on me. I know it's sacrilegious to cut a genuine bracket, but even if I sold it, I still need one. Tough decision.

Not a tough call at all. If you modify the one you have and make it work your problem is solved. If there is one less stock Chevy six power steering bracket in the world it's no big deal. Bcowanwheels can raise his price based on the rarity of what he sells and your rig is on the road. That sounds like win-win to me.
