Dear Rusty;

That's right. Unless highly modified, 3 carbs is to much carburation.

Two 1 bbl(s) is the most common setup for those. They look nice, don't cost much and arn't to bad on gas mileage.

The best way would be to find another head & rework it and then install it with the "2 pot" & headers.

Good luck, John M.....

Rusty,
I agree that three two's is too much. However,I built a 3 x 2 tri power for my street tub using (3) Rochester 2GC's. The end carbs were non-functional dummies. Dummy fuel lines and dummy linkage too. Check it out in the "Racing" section. It looked so convincing that once I was showing the car to a high school auto shop class and the instructor asked me "is it hard to keep the three carbs synchronized?" Gotcha.

2GC's are dirt cheap I usually get rebuildables at swap meets for around $5. Some people have given them to me too. They are good carbs, easy to rebuild and easy to set up. Consider it.

Holley 94's flow almost exactly the same as the large Rochester B's.

John, All car projects are on hold. My wife fell off a scaffold last month and was seriously injured.
