292-block milled for 8:1 compression.stovebolt headers.polished heads.stock valves.390holley.offy intake.stock cam.

Im wondering what kind of torque this will make compared to stock?
Where the peak torque will be in the rpm range?
And how much off idle torque it will have?

roughly,ballpark ideas.

This is something I'd love to know too, I've been thinking about 292's.

I would talk to "Magic Mike". His slightly modified 37 pickup with a 292 does the quarter mile in 10 seconds.

Im more curious about shift points (max torque in the rpm range) for a 5 speed toyota tranny and 33" tires and how the engine is going to pull the overdrive gear (.84) at 65mph-80mph. It looks like 2000rpms in 5th at 65mph. Of course its all very subjective due to the fact that a Landcruiser at 65mph has the aerodynamics of a hot dog cart with the awning up.
