I went for a drive today and noticed at 3/4 throttle i got a rattle that sounds like its coming from the head. I was thinking it's a bad valve guide but havent got to check into it yet. If anyone has any suggestions on what else to check please let me know.
BTW chevy 194 w/ powerglide.

it could be a lose rocker but you won't know for sure till you take off the valve cover. We can only guess because we can see or hear it. but hope this helps }[oooooo]

Dear Fred;
Just pull the valve cover, start the engine and look the rocker assembly over.
This should tell all like Larry said.
Now & then a pushrod will drill through a rocker.
