You may what to check out the tech underlying 'Mud Racing' . . . I have watched them on Speed Channel and some of them mix alky and nOS directly - with no alternate fuel. There's even governance for races in the northern territories that specifically calls it out:

I am no racer but what intrigues me is the ignition of a charge with the 'latent heat' characteristics of alcohol cooled even further by nitrous. This includes the intake plenum considerations/temps to prevent the charge from separating/liquifying.

But the Mud Buggy guys seem to have figured this all out . . .
