Dear All
I am going (following what some already did here) to blow my Chevy 3100 235 engine with turbo setup from Buick Regal 1977 3.8 turbo
and now have a question:
-using the stock buick's turbo setup with plenum can I mount on it 4bbl carburatior from say mustang V8 1965 like holley?
Will it work?
Do I need to rework carb somehow (increase fuel delivery)? How about fuel pump can I leave stock or also need tu tune it?
Any clues welkomed
Thanks

I started a project several years ago to put a turbo & GM TBI on a 292. I didn't finish it because I got lost in the computer side of it. My turbo is from a Firebird or Camaro. I had it mostly mocked up. That part was easy. Maybe a carb would have been easier.

I have a Buick Regal T-3 turbo on my 1953 Chevy with a 261 ci. Just got it running good a few weeks ago. The carb. I have on it is a Carter AFB 500 cfm. Did have to downsize the jets to lean it up a lot. Using an electric fuel pump and made up a fuel return system and have the regulator setting 5 pounds of pressure. The boost is set at 8 pounds. It's liking gas really well.

Sounds like fun Luke! What pistons are you using?

Sorry, I don't remember the brand anymore, it's been so long since I bought them. They are .60 over. So far, no holes in them.

Hi Luke thanks for reply
Did You modyfied anything in engine or left stock? I heard that boosting engine especially such sleeper like 235 with poor oil lubrication will require additional oil passages to cool down pistons, etc

do You have any links to proven fuel pumps (electric), fuel pressure regulators and boost regulators which You mentioned?
How to adjust such curb with turbo? According to spec like naturally aspirated? And why did You change the jets what was wrong and how did You figured it out?
Thanks a lot for You effort
