Yes, the 235 and 261 covers are the same.
I have seen these chrome covers and housings on Ebay for some time now, but I don't see any currently on there, or even in completed auctions. You may have to wait awhile till they list more. I don't know who the seller was either.
Have you even tried to keep a chrome timing cover (or oil pan for that matter) clean so that it doesn't rust? If you ever have tried it, chances are you won't try it again... you need small hands, anal determination and too much free time to keep it looking nice. I would recommend clear coating it if you do go with chrome. Polished aluminum that's not coated is just as problematic...
I have been told that the trick to sealing chrome plated parts is to rough up the seal area with some very fine sandpaper or a scotchbrite pad, and then use some sealant.
