Thanks for all the advice. I'm having the boss on my lower thermostat housing drilled out and machined to accept a 3/8 inch nipple. I will connect this to the heat plate with 3/8 hose. The hose on the other side of the plate will T into my heater return line. I have found a T at the local hardware that will allow me to T into my 5/8 heater return line to the water pump. I'm hoping this will work.
Should have it all back together by Monday and I will post my results.
