Hi, im new to the forum and i have
lots of exhaust questions
Got the new 235 Engine go in my 41 Chevy soon. Now i have some exhaust questions.
First of all, do i need some backpressure or no back pressure at all (some guys told me the inline six losses low end torqe if it haves no back pressure at all.
What i have so fare is a (0.060) bored block, everything new from pistons to valvetrain, Offy dual intake, two Weber/Holley progressive carbs. Stil try to get someone to weld the stock exhaust to split exhaust, because the Fentons are expensive and i want to keep the heat raiser.
Im planning to have two pipes with cherrybombs.
Had one Cherrybomb atached to the stock 216 setup already, lost some power, had a sweet sound, lots of backrap and almost to loud.
Can i quiet things dow a little bit, bei using a crossover pipe bevore the cherrybombs, if yes what size?
What diameter shoild the endpipes have?
Do i need special tips? Any other thoughts or ideas?
Thanx in advance, Frank
