That crack on your motor.Is it between the freeze plugs on the drivers side of the engine?If so,that is a freeze break.Whenever a 216-235-261 cracks there,it is because of no antifreeze in a very cold winter.I had a guy give me a rebuilt 235 that had less than a hours time on it.He had used water to test fire the engine and a few hours later wound up in the hospital from a car wreck.After he got out a few days later,his motor was broke.
