Hi.
I was told to run 3.875 pistons and 5.7 rods from Chevy 250. Will it work?

Now, take a look to manifold and carbs that are waiting on the shelf to be installed:

They are two single-barrel Solex 40 mounted in a brazilian intake. Those carbs are common here, but don't think you have it there in USA. Anyway, it's nice to know new things. \:\)

These 153 engine will run with flat top pistons, 262H Isky cam and kit (also springs, shims, etc.), Manley SS 1.94 and 1.60 valves, Crane Roller Rockers, 10:1 compression ratio, manual 3 speed 3.54 ratio rear-end, ported heads, tube headers, MSD ignition & maybe wiring and this carburation setup.
The idea is for a fast street car for my dad with original painting in bad conditions. Just to see new guys in their import small cars not knowing what was so fast. \:\)
Some pics of my dad's car:

It's a 1973 Chevy Opala with L4 153 engine and a 3-speed manual gearbox on the steering column.
