Inliners International Forums General Discussion Engines 302 GMC in AD Chevy?

I've heard of this being done, but what does it take to get it to fit? Is the engine longer than a 235/261? Does the radiator have to move? Can anyone direct me to a webpage that may have more info on this? I'd like to hear from those of you out there that have done this conversion. How is the 302 in comparison to a 235? Thanks.

The GMC is definitely the better motor, but it is longer than the Chevy, and will require changing the front motor mount and moving the radiator forward.

You must put the radiator on the front of the radiator support, and then move the front mount. Go find an GMC AD in a wrecking yard and get all the goodies that are different. The 302 is a lot better engine for sure. "There is no substitute for cubic inches."QUOTE]Originally posted by Podunkjr:
