Here is what I did.

I bought 5/16 brake lines and fittings from NAPA and bent them with a $10. tubing bender. Used my neighbors flaring kit for the fittings. The heat plate for the bottom of the intake started out as a 4" X 5" 5/16" thick flat bar that I shaped with a hack saw and a grinding wheel. As you can see, the lines run between the headers and the block. Of course, my motor is a 235. May not be applicable for you - but can give you ideas?
