does anybody make rear leaf springs for early novas? mine are sagging severely... even with 2 sets of helper springs (installed by previous owner when it was lowered 3 inches). i've searched but can't find replacements. found a local shop that told me they carried some 3 leaf replacements for $93 a piece. when i went in to order them i was told they'd have to build them. the new price would have been nearly $500 for the pair. HELP! any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Try Chassis engineering for complete rear end setups that include hangers, u-bolts,
sway bars, etc.
Also I have looked at NovasandCameros.com

Hey Spacecowboy, any luck yet? I just had mine replaced about three months ago. (66 Chevy II) A local shop here that specializes in just spring replacements did it for me. They do everything from autos to big rigs. Hopefully there's a place like that near you. I researched all these places that are on the "Web". All pretty expensive. Actually, they're not gonna be cheap anyway. The place that did mine had to order them, took about a week. So as you can see, the springs are out there. They put on 3-leaf springs and what a difference! Cost me about $375.00. Not bad, about $100.00 or so was labor. That included all the fittings, bolts, etc. I'm sure the guy worked his butt off getting the old ones off, too! So I figured paying the labor was worth it. I'm not sure if you want to do the work yourself or not, but I hope this helps.

I stand corrected on the cost of mine. Pulled out the receipt over the weekend, and it was about $430.00, tax and all. Sorry about that.

There's a place here in Portland:
http://www.benzspring.com

that quoted me a price of just over $200
for a pair of new leafs for my 67 Nova.

You might give them a call.
