Inliners International Forums General Discussion Drive Train Dropped Front Axle or Ford IFS

Will a dropped front axle hold up as well as a Mustang IFS? Have a 46 GMC 1/2 ton that I am currently reworking the front end. Like the idea of keeping the truck as old school as possible but want too get the best bang for the buck. Any suggestions would be appriciated.
