I think it was in June 1984, that an article appeared in 12 PN, showing how to adapt a late auto trans (or scattershield) to an early six.
Has anyone got a copy of that article, that they could either scan and email, or photocopy and snail mail me, please.
I've got a SBC V* scattershiled that I'd like to use between the soon to be blown 261 and the '37 Packard trans in my Model A Coupe.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

Buffalo makes adapters for early GM(CBOP) to late GM bellhousings. Always dial indicate your bellhousing and adjust to < .005" max runout.

Dear Mark; You'll need to buy a back issue. Contact Larry (twisted 6) $3.00 + $1.50 S&H. Good luck

Dear Mark; Over "the years" I've reved those (5800 RPM+) many times W/O a flywheel explosion. The clutch bolts/diaphram cover is what goes. We would check them after every run for tightnes etc. ARP should have the bolts. If this is a racing safety requirement you'll probably need to make a (2 piece) custom one. Maybe?? A 1/4" steel floor palte will work too?? Ask your safety people. Good luck. PS: The engine will 'blow' before the flywheel, if ballanced properly. :p

BTTT, hopefully some-one may be able to copy or scan the article for me.
Postage for an adapter plate from one of the dealers in the US to Australia would be a killer, so I'm trying to make my own.
Thanks
Mark

Have you tried contacting the TPN people directly?? Their e-mail address is on the back of the cover or just inside, as I recall. Good luck.
