I badly need the number of a Chevy Transmission Yoke (The red part that goes in the transmission)of a 1959 3-speed with overdive.

Any chevy driveshaft from 55-6? could be used. I can get you a specific number for a '59 when I get home tonight, if you like.
What are you using for a rearend?
Do you know what the center to center distance of the u-joints needs to be?

Massaged a 1959 3-Speed Overdrive in the 41 Sedan, on the back a 1959 Pick Up Rearend.

Found a Driveshaft in Propper lenght that fit`s the rearend on a bone yard. No Idea from what car.

Now I need the Yoke that goes into the tranny.

55-64 chevy car and 1/2 ton truck "course" spline is what you will need.65 and later it gets crazy,but most were "fine" spline I will look when I get to my shop today--- I think I may have a GM part#.There should still be lots of those laying around states/side, but that may not be true in Germany. I know I have several--let me know if you need one. Paul

Like Paul said, any corse splined yoke will fit the tranny, but there were a couple of different u-joints used depending on the application.
55-57 car and 55-59 std. 3spd 1/2 ton trucks used the same driveshaft assemblies. These were 54 7/8" overall length (minus the yoke). The GM part number for the yoke on these shafts is 3707059. The HD 3spd and 4 spd 1/2 tons had a larger u-joint, but will still fit the tranny.

If you can't find what you need over there, I'm sure somebody here can cut off the ends from one of these driveshafts and mail them to you. Then you could have a shop over there make/balance a new driveshaft.

There is the anual quarter mile race next week - it is THE big and only event in Germany - so I need one really urgent.
