Yes, the 261would be an obvious choice, but from what I've seen they are scarce. I've only seen one listed for sale near me in the lat 5 years. I think the 302 would also be a relatively easy installation, and if I find one of those before I find a 292, I'll prpbably go that route. With the 235 installed, and no fan spacer, there is 3.5" between the fan and radiator, so there should not be any serious clearance problems. This is a long term project, but I have learned from my '57 sport coupe that it is never too soon to plan and gather parts.
