Inliners International Forums General Discussion Drive Train New Process 833 (GM MY-6 4th gear OD)

I have an 833 tranny I would like to part with. Includes Hurst shifter and linkage. Needs syncros. 1st gear is tall and my 250 six will not pull the OD gearing at highway speeds with the 3.08 rearend gearing. Have pics available, email me thru board. $250.

I want to put it in my 64 swb pu that currently has the original 3 speed and 3.73 rear. Will I need to change the driveshaft, yoke, pressure plate, clutch disc etc?

Other members:Will this be a better setup than a 5 speed from an S10?

you'll have to switch to a truck bell. 1st will be steep with alarger rpm jump to second. you'll love it on the highway. tougher than a t-5 from s-10. i also got them if anyone is looking. tom
