I have been looking for a t5 tranny , from a mid 80's S10 , to go into my '65 C10 . I haven't had much luck finding one , but did notice an ad locally for a 1988 Isuzu 5 speed . I've been told this is the same tranny as an S10 would have . Can anyone here tell me if this is correct ? I haven't had the chance to go look at the item yet . It is a good distance to where the item is located and I'd like to know if this tranny is a match before I empty my gas tank going to look at it . I know the t5 page lists an earlier Isuzu tranny ( 1984 , I think ) . I know the later S10's also went to a different design tranny ( w/an integral b/housing )that would not work for me . This being an '88 model , would it also be an integral design ? All help is greatly appreciated !
