I was wondering where I could find 30 over 292 pistons that would be good for a street/ strip application?

Thanks,
Sonny

hello.... Felpro-(sterling part# 980P) is a LPG(liquid propane) piston...9.3 cr( milling head .090 will give you 10.8,and decking block .030 will give you over 11/1 CR-thats high-just stay away from high RPM with these cast pistons and stock rods..still cast ...good up to 6000 rpm.....can use stock rod-2" Comp height- if you do anything else, you will spend $1200+ less shipping for forged pistons and alum. rods.....it starts to change what you spend, but look what you END UP WITH-LOTS OF 292 TORQUE.....

Sonny, No personal knowledge but I have heard that 283/327 pistons will work in a 292. If I'm wrong I'm sure we'll here about it in a hurry.

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna look into it. Besides, if I end up with low compression without decking I'll just have to look for an inexpensive blower or turbo.

Thanx,
Sonny

hello..you can use 283 and 307 pistons but will need $600 alum. rods or $1100 Billet rods.....comp height changes..292-2"...283-1.795...307-1.62.....all have 3.875 bore....

ps longer rods are better for HP/power.....
