I think Jack is referring to things like jets, metering rods, accel. pump, step up springs, etc. All the parts that you would need to make the carb work perfectly with your engine. Sometimes you can run a carb right of the box and it will work fine. Usually though, you can fine tune the carb and get better performance and mpg. John.
