You are uncorking a vacuum line so you introduce a vacuum leak in the engine. If it was a little rich you might see an increase in mileage. If you want water injection for anti detonation I'd go with a windshield washer kit with a nozzle in the air filter lid and a vacuum switch to turn it on.
