Assuming the C-10 is safely blocked and the hood is removed, the tranny disconnected and all lines and wires disconnected then
take off the valve cover,remove the right front and left rear cylinder head bolts and slip them thru the end links of a 3 ft. chain of appropriate thickness(min.3/16 in.)
and opening. reattach the head bolts and have some help. The L6 can be unweildy so take care that it doesnt swing back toward the firewall as you roll out your hoist.
