Hi All I had the same problem at one time too of not having the correct stuff to run my 292.
First you must know what original PS brackets you need 1963 to 1972 are one stlye, and the hardest to find.
Then 1972 to 1989 are the other more common stlye they used the same bracket on the early 1973 and 1974 250 trucks too.
The problem is most of you look on the net for the parts and the problem with that is most of the people that have what you want are old and don't care to use a computer.
1+1 = 2 not 5 (1+1 meaning old motors = old people, old people = no computer, no computer = poor chance of finding what you want on the web.)
So get off the computer and go looking in the fields and backwoods talk too people, the stuff is still out there for the time being, but if these old folks that have them don't here from you those 292 engines they had out in the field will be cleaned up one day.
One guy I talked to this spring that cleans up farms told me,'" its $75.00 an hour to run the dozer at the job, we don't have time to lift the hoods anymore, we just flatten them and send they to the recycle place and they put them (meaning 292s with the brackets on some of them) through the shredder."
