I bought a PS pump off the internet [guy I knew was OK] that he said was possibly for a 292 since it was different from the 250. I mocked it up on a core engine ['63 292] and was satisfied that at least 3 of the fasteners in the top bracket matched bolt holes in the head. There was a curved slot for the Alt tension adjuster, but this looked too high for the alt in its normal position. What's wrong with using a separate stand-off bracket for the alternator, and grinding the slot out of the bottom of the PS bracket if it's in the way?
