Ken,I have been using federal-mogul ht-817 lifters in all my engines for years.I am using them in my buick|nova with a comp cams cam that has a 584 int 600 exh lift ,crane roller rockers and 325 lbs.of open spring pressure.The engine has been together for a year now and no problems-good to 6000.If you are in doubt you can NEVER go wrong using the cam manufacturers reccomended lifter.You do not need a hi volume pump in these engines.
