Ages ago Revell or Renwall made a 1/6 scale model of the Chrysler Slant Six. I think they called it the Visible Slant Six, as it had a clear plastic engine block and valve cover so you could see all the parts moving when you turned on the motor that was hidden in the starter.

Long since out of production but you can still find one every so often on Ebay or at specialty hobby shops that buy and sell old model kit collections.

It would be nice to have a selection of GMC's, Chevy's, Ford's, etc like what they offer today in the V8 models but demand is most likely not there except for us Inliners.

The 1/25 scale model car world has a number of kits with inline sixes currently available. Although fairly small in size you could build the engine and not install it in the car. Most are 30's 40's and 50's Chevys and some come with at least a dual carb intake and basic split headers.
Galaxie Ltd currently offers both a 46-48 Chevy Aero Sedan and a 46-48 Chevy Sedan Delivery that include an extensively detailed 216 with optional Wayne valve and side covers, Fenton headers, and a 3 carb intake. The models run about $38 each.

I've built the Aero Sedan and put all the vintage speed equipment on it and I can tell you it is fantastic but not a kit for a beginner.
