Lurk here allot, thought I'd say Hello and ask a question:

I had my water pump replaced recently on my L6 250, before my engine temp was 180-190, now it is 155-160. Is this too low? if so, how to remedy? New termostat? If not, never mind LoL
T
btw, it's in an 84 Chevy truck, yes an intergral head, why do most people slam intergrals? this one has over 212,000 miles on it and going strong

I would say its ok, as long as its not overheating and the heater works.

I hope you get another 200,000

Well Howdy Neighbor,
Thanks for the reply, heater will run you out of the truck, was just wanting to make sure I wasn't hurting this high mileage 250. Another 200,000 is the plan!
Thanks
T

The intergal Head are not the fav. for hp and they were prone to cracking when over heated.
As for running 155-160 Thats not a problem.
But for most the normal ranger is 180-190
mine runs right at 182 Hope this helps }[oooooo]

I wish I knew what temp I am running. None of the gauges seem to be hooked up. Maybe I will get to look this weekend. I have had the truck for 5 days. I was looking under the hood today and my g/f asked where the rest of the engine was. LOL It is a huge engine compartment for such a tiny engine. This is my first inline. I mostly had chevy 350 setups. Im hoping it wont be to difficult to locate where everything goes.

Thanks for the link. I spent about an hour over there.

Oh ok .I thought you spent that much time on my home page and just woundered why you did sign the guest book after all that time there LOL .

Ps you could always add in a few after market gauges so you knew what was going on with your motor till you got the stock stuff worked out.
