I'm starting to reassemble my 261. I want to build a strong street engine. Capable of 6000 rpm on occasion. What valve springs should I use? I plan to use hydraulic lifters. I notice on the block there is a hole in the lifter oil galley that appears to provide oil to the distributor gear. This hole is about 3/16" dia. Seems like a spot to lose a lot of oil pressure. Could this be metered down to about 3/32"? Any thoughts?
