Inliners International Forums General Discussion Engines dipstick location?

Hi,
My truck is a 79 but the dipstic is located on the passenger side. Is this correct for the inlines? I know the v-8s are located on the drivers side before 1980. I am talking about the oil dipstick.

never seen that before, but it doesnt matter what side its on as long as u can check the oil properly, right?

My 235L6 Chevy dip stick is on the passenger side
next to the distributor.

the dip sticks are on the passenger side either near the dist. or back near the starter.

Every late design Chevy six I've ever seen has had the dip stick on the passenger side.

yea sorry, didnt pay close enough attention to the name 'chevydude'. i'm into fords, but i know chevys are opposite to a ford so yea, makes sense that its on the passenger side then...
