Inliners International Forums General Discussion Hi Performance Old looks like TBIs. Anyone??

Hi friends

I don't know if i'll be able to make myself clear, but i'll try to. Here we go...

I'm currently running a 3x1 carbs setup on my ride. They are great, obviously it doesn't work out like a 3 Weber setup, but its suitable until the moment. What I like most is its visual and I didn't like to change this. I just wanna get rid of them to put an EFI system without changing the old looking.
I have already the MegaSquirt box and the injectors its not the main concern about now. Right now my main concern is about the TBIs. I saw once some aftermarket TBI that has an exactly carb looks like(also including the air cleaner), but underneath the cover was a TBI with 2 injectors. Like a fakie carbs to use EFI in old school hot rod i think.
The point is i've lost already some milimeters of my fingers seaching for it on the internet and there's no way to find. I can not imagine anymore related words to put on search engines, that way i'm asking it here.

So, enough bla bla bla otherwise i'm gonna start to cry(hehe)...

Let's go to questions now:

1. Did someone has any idea what the hell am i talking about? Or what the hell is that?

2. If so, do this blessed person know where can i find one of these fu*%~# things? A link, a webpage, anything.

3. I've tried to do the same question on the MegaSquirt forum, but it was really frustrating since some folks there simply don't know the meaning of expressions like "carb" or "3x2 setup". Then i got some unsatisfactory results.

4. Am I dreaming about this TBI? It simply doesn't exists? Am I crazy?

How about this idea? Get three junk carbs or use the ones you have, use them for the butterflies only, modify a throttle position sensor to work with those. weld injector bungs to the intake, direct port inject that sucker? using MS you have the ability to tune this.

And InLine300, i tought to do so, but the injectors would have to be welded on the manifold and i thinks that it wouldn't be fine to see. Understand? But thanks anyway for the idea.

You could always place a small cosmetically pleasing cover over the injectors and fuel rail. Cheaper than the strombergs and then you would have direct port injection vs your other options.

I gotchya though, good luck, hope to see pictures of your efi conversion one day.
