i finally got around to milling out the water heated box for my old style clifford intake. i cut it down to the same size as the flat place on the bottom of the intake about 4.500 x 4.800 and it is 2.500 deep. i left the sides the same thickness as the intake and the bottom about .500 . i tried to make one like the pictures i saw from twisted6. where do i bring in the water from and return it to? i guess i will use heater hose but i have to know what size of barbs to buy and what size of threads to cut in front and back, so first i need to know how to run the hose. thanks, hoggyrubber

yes, thanks i pretty much did mine just like yours, mabey a little taller but will still have lots of room for clearence on the headers. i just wondered about where the incoming water and outgoing water are from/ to. that way i can get the correct sized fitting to screw into box. your pictures were a big help, i am very happy with how it turned out so far. hoggyrubber

Hoggy,
I heated my Clifford by using the 3/8 pipe fitting below the thermostat. I took 5/8 hose from that nipple fitting as the origin of the water and went into the front of the intake then out of the back of the intake along the firewall and into the water heater core which puts the flow in series prior to the thermostat. It cured a lot of my problems with the fuel turning back into a liquid in that huge Clifford plenum after coming from the 390 cfm Holley 4. I have pictures if you want them.
