Never heard of running straight transmission fluid, have heard run 1 qt of it for 500 miles and then change oil and filter. Also had an oldtimer tell me to run 1 qt of diesel fuel in the oil for 500 miles, never tried it, but did try the 1 qt of tranny fluid, worked ok. Then there is always risolene or GM top end cleaner.
