I've managed to get a set of 292 rods real cheap, and I have a set of N.O.S. jahns pop-ups for a 235. I am looking into making a small bore stroker engine, simliar to the Webrodder series.

what I was thinking of was bushing either the 292 rod small end to 0.866", or boring the piston pin to 0.927".

Which way is better?

This will be a street engine - probably driven hard at times - 1/4 and 1/8 mile runs occassionally, and the odd street race with a flathead or two ;\)

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I presume you meant boring the piston PIN BOSS?

I recommend bushing the rods as the pin boss may be weakened and anyway holding the piston true whilst you accurately bore it on center will not be easy.

Someone may already manufacture the correct bushing size. Check w/ TRW / Sealed Power.
