Hi...Fuse blocks were an add on back in the mid 50's. No option vehicles didn't come with one because they were just basic, but as soon as you added a heater or electric wipers then you needed a fuse block. My 56 pickup has one and it's very much the same as a car fuse block. I have heater, electric wipers, spot light and radio in my truck.
