Hi,

I let my 16 year old cousin borrow my truck last week. Now I have 3 holes in the oil pan. When I got to the truck, you could smell the antifreeze from about 30 feet away. (before I had it towed home) He told me it over heated and stalled. It was about a 1/4 mile from my house so I just walked up there to drive it home. It was so tight it wouldnt even turn. After I got it home I ordered a re-ring kit. I started to get everything disconnected so that I could remove the engine, and that is when I found out I had 3 holes in the oil pan.

My question is do I get another L6, take this one apart and see if it is rebuildable, or put my 350 in the truck when I get it back from the machine shop? I know someone that has another 250. He says I should scrap the integral head on my truck. He has a non integral head. My truck has a dual exhaust manifold from the factory. How difficult would it be to find another dual exhaust manifold for the other head?

Thanks for your help,
