What are the pros and cons of using a
Hall-Effect ammeter ? I'm a mechanic/mechanical engineer, and I do not understand all of the electronics, but my EE friends say that this is the way to go. They and I would not want to use a direct-reading series ammeter that carries a lot current through the gauge.
