Is it possible to straighten cast hood orament wings without breaking them? What about heating them and letting them settle back flat? What happens to the metallurgy when they Wilt? Would the process of flattening them have to be redone prior to a rechrome? Could it be done without rechroming on a decent orament going on a daily driver? Any help would be appreciated. Robert

Hi...I take it that you are speaking of an ornament like on a 53 chevy car, 54 chevy pickup or GMC rocket. Well....I have straightened some in a vise between two blocks of wood with pretty good results. It takes patience and feeling and a lot of sweat. Good luck........
