Hey fellas,thanks for the replies.I live in the deep south and rabbit hunt with beagle hounds.We chase swamp rabbits here so hence my name.This motor would go in a 78 chevy k-10 4x4 short wheel base pickup.I had a 250 six in it and spun a main so rather than rebuild it I bought another 250 already rebuilt from Advance Auto and I got it all together and the son of a gun has a bad valve in it so I'm going to have to take it back out and get a replacment or get my money back.Well my truck has 35 inch tires on it and in low range with the 250 it has plenty of power but in high range it does ok but I could use more power and am not going back with a v-8 as it was before i put the first 250 in.Any way I do have dual headers on it and there is plenty of space between the radiator and fan-I have a spacer on the fan and it's still actually to far back-.Someone said the right side or passenger side motor mount would have to be changed,do you guys mean motor support bracket?If so what does it have to come off of?Also someone said or typed that I would have to change the oil pickup tube if so where can i get one?Other than the above I mentioned and the side covers will all the other parts work,oil pan,headcover,water pump no,intake manifold,carb etc?Thanks again fellas and I know i duplicated some of my questions from earlier so please excuse for I want to make sure to get it all in LOL.See ya'll................Gerald.
