The L5 uses a balance shaft to smooth things out, not needed on the L6. Check EBay for used motors, they can be had cheap because many were replaced under warranty due to a bad run of cylinder liners. Whether anyone has successfully repaired one of these, I can't say. The big problem if fitting the L6 to another vehicle is the front sump oil pan, but that's been fixed by an Inliner who adapted an L5 pan for clearance.
