Greetings . . .

Does anybody know if this steering wheel was a factory or dealer option?

I have '49 Accessories Guide and it is not shown there. I have read Floyd Clymer's stuff and he never mentions a steering wheel option.

I have seen one or two vehicles with this wheel and they come up on Ebay every once in a while for big bucks.

What's the story?

Don't know, maybe it's a Canadian option???

My friend that has a old car wrecking yard in Northern California says years ago he junked a 1951 Chevy 2 door hardtop that had one.He has been wrecking out cars since 1953 and has only seen one in that time.

Frankly I think the stock Deluxe wheel is more attractive. But that's just me talking.

I AGREE WITH THE THEORY ,,THERE MAY BE AN OPTION... BECAUSE,, MY 50 BUSINESS COUPE, HAS A HORN BUTTON. THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN A PIC OF ANYWHERE , YET , IT HAS THE BLUE BOWTIE ON IT.
