Hey All,
Just wondering if any members are planning on attending,displaying or competing at the 46th Annual March Meet Drags in Bakersfield California this weekend.
This event is enjoying a great revival as the interest in restoring vintage race cars is on the rise. Last years event featured a larger feild of Nitro cars than the NHRA Pro event that ran the same weekend elsewhere.
The word is that there will be a field of about a dozen Nitro Funny Cars this year to compliment the usual large field of Nitro burning front engined Rails.
If you live within driving distance or feel like putting together a spur of the moment weekend trip, you owe it to yourself to attend.
You won't be disappointed.
There will also be a Vintage parts Swapmeet and a Carshow featuring cars '72 and older. This event is currently being run by the "Goodguy's Rod & Custom Association" info on the event is availible on their website:
