Yeah, that Maroon rod is what I was thinking of building. It's a 2-door sedan rear section (or pickup) grafted onto a 5-window coupe shell. Another way I was planning on doing it was to cut down a 2-door sedan behind the front doors. Either way it's a really nice look I must agree.
The "thrice pipes" are a nice touch. I can see there was a lot of time and thought put into that section job too. That couldn't have been very easy to do.
When I was living in CA., a neighbor down the street took a VW bug, cut out 20" right down the center of the car, and welded it back. It really looked like a cartoon or a HotWheels car. It only was wide enough for one person wide and two deep (Tamdem}. A very odd looking vehicle that reminds me of this Fleetliner but it's on a larger scale. I'd love to see it in person. Is it still at Posie's shop?
