Hello fellow Inliners!!!
Last weekend my -39 gMc 1/2t project made a good step forward. After making new rear cab mounts, we could lift the new cab on the frame for a test fit. My truck was delivered new here in Norway as a chassis & cowl, and then got a local produced wooden structure cab and a flatbed. It was in service on a farm until -64, when it was left in the barn. The cab was not very nice, and after all those years, beyond saving. The new cab is a rustfree all-steel cab from a -43 21/2t mil. truck. And I will make a new litl flatbed for it.
Engine is a 302 coupled to a th400 with a Buffalo kit, it has a Kirby reworked head, JE 10:1 pistons, 280 deg. cam, Arias roller rockers, Clifford wh intake/Edelbrock 500 carb, Clifford headers, Fisher damper, ARP studs, Mallory/MSD 6AL ignition.
It has taken awhile to collect all the stuff, its not easy available, and some of it causes some real walletpain. It has to take its time.
So it was a nice "raceday" there on that piece of lumber!!!!!!!!!
How are your projects doing in the cold wintertime ?
