Yes, I'm an inliner. I own Classic Inlines and I'm the site admin for the FordSix forum. I just don't get the opportunity to visit as often as I'd like as I'm very busy and work an average of 100 hrs per week normally. Heck, I rarely keep up with the topics on my own forum most of the time. LOL
Our new aluminum head was just released this week. The intakes are still a couple weeks off, but they were setting up the cores as of today and will be casting them by weeks end.
The big six pattern was delivered last week, but went back to the pattern maker for revisions. We had hoped to release it around the end of the year, however it will more than likely be mid spring.
When we did our market reseach we determind that a large portion of our perspective customers use their cars on a daily basis, had limited budgets, and had already made performance mods which included headers and v/c. Hence we decided to design a street/strip cylinder head which would utalize the existing headers, valve covers, and rocker assemblies. Thus keeping it within the range of even the most modest budget. While the design limited the flow, its still light years ahead of the old cast iron log head.
We are doing the same with the Ford big six head, and the Chevy heads when the time comes. While maximum performance is great, there are other factors to consider, including mileage and money. There are still many who enjoy driving their cars/trucks daily, on weekends, or on those hot summer evening cruises.
Eventually, after the street/strip heads are done, we plan to design and produce performance SOHC/DOHC, four valve cylinder heads. As such, they will require new exhaust headers, valve covers, camshafts, rocker assemblies, and gear or belt drives. Obviously they will be for the more serious builder, and will carry a higher price tag.
Until then, our priorities will serve those who drive often and want more performance. What better place to start, than with the Ford small six with the asthmatic log intake, which I happen to own three of. LOL
