The Offenhouser manifold has a plate on it that the carb bolts to. The plate is bolted to the manifold. If you wanted you could make a new plate for the 2bbl and bolt it onto the offy. You wouldn't need an adapter. The offy will bolt to the stock exhaust manifold, the Clifford does not.
